Raced: 1954 – 1960

Derived from the “175 CSS” (1954), it is equipped with external magneto ignition, split cams and a new frame. It debuted victoriously at Trento on 27 June (F. Libanori). Also M. Hailwood grasps his first victories with the 175 CSS-5V. This model was identified with the nickname of qualo” (shark). In 1955 approval of the DOHC kit was obtained.
